Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We only link to products we have used or tested, and a commission never buys a better review.
What this means in practice
This disclosure is provided in line with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s guidance on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR Part 255) and similar rules in other jurisdictions.
- Which links. Affiliate links appear mainly on recommendation and comparison pages — for example hosting providers, website builders, and software we use ourselves.
- How you can tell. Pages containing affiliate links carry a disclosure near the top, and outbound affiliate links are marked or use a redirect path such as
/go/. - What it costs you. Nothing. The price you pay is the same whether you use our link or go directly to the vendor.
- What it does not affect. Rankings, ratings, and conclusions are based on our own testing and judgement. If a product is worse, we say so — including when we earn nothing from the alternative we recommend.
Advertising
We do not currently run third-party display advertising. If we add it in the future, ad placements will be labelled as advertising, and this page will be updated before any ads go live.
Sponsored content
If we ever publish a sponsored post, it will be clearly labelled as sponsored at the top of the page, and the sponsor will have no editorial control over the conclusions.
Your call
You are never obliged to use our links. If you would rather not, search for the product directly — the tools on this site work exactly the same either way.
